Introducing Casa Rica which is somewhat a popular place for a dine-in in Rawalpindi. We knew about the place but never visited and reviewed it before. So, today we are going to share our story of Casa rica visit, what we ate and what we think about it overall.
We drove down this place, Casa Rica Rawalpindi on Saturday around 7:00 pm on a hunt of best lasagna in Islamabad and find of whether they have it and to try some of their Thai cuisine. Well, first things first, let us talk about the parking and the outlook of this place.
The parking was adequate we did not expect getting a spot to park our vehicle on a weekend but, luckily we did! And the outlook of Casarica is really pretty.
As we walked in, we were quite impressed with the ambiance. The decor of this place is quite unique and impressive. Beautiful lighting and wooden work along with comfortable sofa sitting made us really happy.
We fell in love with the interior and how everything looked put together. Really neat and clean environment. We automatically started expecting a really good food so, we did not hold our hands back from ordering a large menu instead of just two dishes despite their slightly high pricing.
We ordered crispy sesame beef, szechuan chicken, herb and butter steak and of course, Lasagna. Almost everything on the menu was a little overpriced but we expected a good food so we did not mind trying them out.
The wait time and the wait staff, both were really good. The waitstaff was really professional and there were so many of them at service. We got out food in about 30 minutes and the food seemed really fresh and hot.
I will talk about each of the item individually to give you a better opinion on their food. Starting off with the szechuan chicken which, according to them is a stir fried chicken with chilli paste. I personally really liked the taste of it. The chicken was very nicely cooked with the right amount of spices in it. It costs about 595 rupees which i guess is fine for something as good as this.
Next I tried the herb and butter steak which was served with stir fried vegetables. Amazing! I loved it. So perfectly cooked and seasoned. Right amount of spices and all the ingredients included in its making. The price for it was about 1045 rupees which i think is slightly overpriced despite its good taste.
Next in line was crispy sesame beef and i did not like it at all! There might have been nothing wrong with the composition but the combination of ingredients just did not seem right to me. I did not like how the beef felt and tasted with such a tag of rupees 795.
Lasagna was another disappointment. A lot different than what I’d normally prefer. It seemed and felt like a bed of cheese and nothing else. I could not taste and other ingredient in it. It costs about 845 rupees which is actually really overpriced.
Now coming back to a combined and an overall review of this place, I would say I really liked the ambiance, the service and even half of the dishes that we ordered. But, I did not like the two of them as I mentioned above. The price is overpriced and I would say, slightly overrated too! I would not say you can go and experience the wonderful ambiance of the place but, do not invest too much over there.
