Detailed review on the fancy “JADE CAFE BY CHINA TOWN”| F-8 ISLAMABAD

 on a Saturday evening I was returning from my friend’s home and I stayed at jade cafe because I was starving and when I saw the place I told myself “let’s get in here for some nice food after a long day”.

the first thing that I would say is , Finding a parking in for this place is an actual trauma. I drove around for 15 minutes trying to find the parking spot but eventually ended up parking somewhere far and walked down to the place on foot.

As I walked in I was so amazed by the lavish interior and fancy designing. The place has a gorgeous environment, beautiful Scandinavian furniture, and apparently it was clean as well.

I sat down to place with really high expectations and a starving tummy that was growling of hunger. I looked at the menu and everything looked delicious.  

I decided to order sesame seed chicken and a red velvet cake for dessert. I sat down and started watching an episode of my favorite sitcom and its duration was about 50 minutes. I finished watching the episode and the food was still not served so I watched another half thinking may be the food is worth the wait.

after 20 more minutes they served the so called “sesame seed chicken” which was colder than my heart and it felt as if the food had been in a dungeon for about a hundred years. The smell of it was horrible but, one thing I must say that they served this horrible little thingie in a crockery that could marvel anyone.

Anyway, I had lost half of my appetite just by the smell of it and when I tasted it, it felt nothing like sesame. It tasted honey or something but, something not very good. I talked to the manager about it and he said or did nothing about it. so I waited for another 10 minutes for the plastic cake, I mean, “the red velvet cake’ (rolling eyes)

The cake was dry and stored and not fresh AT ALL. It tasted like some cheap bakery cakes. I went to the manager again with my angry hungry stomach screaming and crying at the same time.

the manager offered me a molten lava cake instead which was so mice of him (rolls eyes). I waited for 5-7 more minutes and the cake was served hot and fresh out the oven. I tasted and I went like “WOW!!”. This is what I needed.

The service is slow as a snail, the staff and management needs to be improved behaviorally. They offer outdoor seating too but, I think it is way too congested and the tables are not properly arranged with so much noise from the road side.  

The restaurant lacks the punch when it comes to food and service but the lava cake somehow made it better for me. But, paying so much for food like this is not worth it. my overall experience of the place was not good AT ALL

Fancy decorations, nice and neat looking interior but, after trying out their food I would say, DO NOT visit the place. Well, I can’t stop anyone from experiencing the place and if you do have some positive remarks and good experiences of the place, do not forget to leave us a review so that we can help each other experience the best in our lives.
